Financial Aid

The mission of the Financial Aid Office is to help eligible students meet educational costs while attending UWF Emerald Coast.

Types of Financial Aid

UWF financial aid packages are made up of a combination of awards depending on academic standing and financial need. Awards including scholarships, grants, loans, and federal work-study opportunities are all part of what makes a UWF education affordable.

Financial Aid Eligibility

In order to be eligible for financial aid, students must meet the following criteria:

  • U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen; students who are on a temporary or student visa are not eligible for financial aid
  • Must be admitted as a degree-seeking student
  • Cannot be in default on any prior student loans and do not owe a repayment on any Title IV financial aid
  • Male students between the ages of 18 - 25 must register with Selective Service at to receive financial aid
