Commencement Information

Date & Details:

Date: Saturday, August 1, 2020

Location: Pensacola Bay Center
201 East Gregory St. Pensacola, FL 32502

Faculty should arrive no less than 30 minutes prior to ceremony start. Plan for heavy traffic and congestion around the Pensacola Bay Center.  Due to changes in security at the Pensacola Bay Center all attendees will be required to go through security screening with metal detectors. Please only bring essential items to graduation.

Parking Pass:

Faculty must rsvp in order to receive a parking pass for reserved parking at the front of the Pensacola Bay Center. Parking passes will be sent via campus mail 2 weeks prior to the ceremony for those who RSVP. Faculty should not wait until the last minute to request a parking pass as staff will be unable to provide passes the days immediately before the ceremonies. Reserved parking is limited so it is available on a first-come basis.

Faculty Sign In:

Faculty should enter the Pensacola Bay Center at the front entrance by the box office. All Faculty assembles in Room A immediately inside the front entrance. A table will be available in Room A for Faculty to sign-in for department attendance. Marshals and hooders should also sign in at this table prior to lining up with students. Garment racks will be available in Room A.

Light refreshments will be available in Room A prior to each ceremony.

Plan to participate in the Alumn-Line tradition. Staff will direct Faculty as they recess off the stage to form the reception line. Faculty will be the first to congratulate the graduates as they exit the Pensacola Bay Center as new alumni.

The ceremony will once again be webcast live. Those unable to attend the ceremony may view it in its entirety by accessing the link on the Commencement homepage. The link will not be active until the start of the ceremony.
