Letter from UWF President concerning Fall 2020 Ceremony
We recently received word from the Florida Board of Governors that all Florida SUS institutions will postpone fall commencement ceremonies due to COVID-19 concerns. As a result, our in-person Fall 2020 ceremony scheduled for Dec. 12, 2020, will be hosted virtually. Your family members, friends and faculty members are invited to celebrate this special milestone on UWF’s social media to comment, share and cheer you on.
I know this season has been extremely challenging and I am proud of you for overcoming it with incredible adaptability and perseverance. You have proven that the Argo spirit is unbreakable.
We will also provide all graduates an opportunity to participate in a future in-person ceremony once we are able to safely resume our regularly scheduled ceremonies. Information will be shared with the campus community via email and posted on social media when it becomes available.
We will provide more details on celebrating you virtually in the coming weeks. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy and know that your fellow Argos are cheering you on.
Sincerely yours,
Martha D. Saunders
President
