How to Apply to Graduate School
The Graduate Admissions office administers the application, admission, and readmission process for all degree-seeking and non-degree seeking graduate students. We are happy to help guide you through the graduate application process.
Beginning August 17, 2020, the Graduate School office in Building 11 will be open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. A face covering is required to enter the office and we will practice social distancing.
While the office will be open with limited staff, remote work continues to be the primary work arrangement for faculty and staff. Please contact us via email at email@example.com. During this time, we ask all required admission documents be uploaded to your Applications Status in MyUWF or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you mailed in a hard copy of any items, mail will be impacted during this time. For domestic applicants, you may submit an unofficial copy of transcripts, and we will be able to accept those for Provisional Admission, but an official copy of every transcript must be received prior to the first semester of enrollment.
GRE/GMAT/MAT scores are being waived by many colleges/programs for the coming terms due to COVID-19. You can check the Graduate Admission Test Scores section to see if you may qualify.
* Certain graduate programs have earlier or later application deadlines while others will accept applications after the posted deadline. Please check with the department for deadlines specific to program application deadlines.

New UWF Application System!
UWF is excited to announce that we have launched our new application portal! The new application is more efficient and user-friendly. This system is not linked to our previous portal, so if you previously began a submission in our old system, you will have to create a new account for the new system. If you have any issues with the application, please contact us at email@example.com.

Initial evaluation of application materials
Once the application, application processing fee, and application materials are submitted, the Graduate School will complete the initial evaluation and forward your application packet to the department for an admission decision. Incomplete applications will not be considered for admission or may be denied admission.
The Graduate School will notify the applicants of the admission decision. Admission to the University is often contingent upon the subsequent receipt of satisfactory and official college or university transcripts and verification of baccalaureate degree. Failure to submit such documents before the end of the second week of class of the initial semester of enrollment may result in the cancellation of admission.
